RECLAIMED R-410A USED IN NEW AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEMS

Equipment manufacturer saves, in one year, 154 tonnes of R-410A by using recovered R-410A from operating installations, reclaiming it to the same quality as virgin R-410A and mixing it with virgin R-410a for use in VRV air-conditioning systems. With a huge potential of R-410A available in existing installations, re-use contributes to creating the circular economy and can be used for other refrigerants in future. The reclaimed R-410A does not count against F-Gas Regulation HFC quotas and is equivalent to 320,000 tonnes CO2e.

The reclaimed refrigerant is used in two ranges of air-conditioners, one with heat recovery (from 22 to 63 kW) and one for smaller units (12 to 18 kW).
