R-452A SELECTED BY A GERMAN CLIMATE CHAMBER MANUFACTURER TO REPLACE R-404A

Searching for an economical and safe alternative for R-404A (GWP = 3,922), a German climate chambers manufacturers has selected, after an extensive testing, R-452A (GWP = 2,140), a blend of HFC-32/HFC-125/HFO-1234yf, 11/59/30 weight %.

The climate test chambers require a broad range of temperatures, from -70 C to + 180 C, to be covered, and very fast temperature changes to be achieved, up to 25 K/min.

Besides being nonflammable, R-452A was chosen for its low gas outlet temperature, its limited low temperature glide and its good operating characteristics during temperature changes.
