NEW KROLL FINDINGS REVEAL HOW ILLEGAL IMPORTS OF HFCs CONTINUE TO ENTER EU
Brussels, 15 April 2020 – New findings from corporate investigations firm Kroll provide evidence on how large quantities of illegal imports of HFCs (hydrofluorocarbon) gases are still entering the EU market, despite improvement in enforcement activities in 2019. Kroll’s investigation identifies various means in which the illegal gases are entering the EU, shedding light on the enormity of the problem. Read more here.

EFCTC STEPS UP FIGHT AGAINST ILLEGAL TRADE OF HFCs
Brussels, 6 May 2020 – As illegal trade in HFCs (hydrofluorocarbon gases) continues to flourish across Europe, the European FluoroCarbons Technical Committee (EFCTC) has today launched a dedicated website. The site aims to raise awareness of the issue and provide information to the value chain and other interested parties about how we can take action against it together. Read more here.

AFCE has published online a new brochure concerning the duties of operators and owners of equipment for HFCs. A link to the brochure is available from an article in GC Magazine in french).
