  • REAL Alternatives 4 LIFE Modules on Low GWP Alternatives and Safety and Risk Management available
    As part of the REAL Alternatives for LIFE project, the European Commission is co-financing a consortium of European training centres, associations to provide “train the trainer” sessions on low GWP refrigerants (hydrocarbons, CO2, ammonia, HFOs, R32) in order to ensure safe, efficient, reliable and cost-effective implementation. Module 1 provides an Introduction to Alternative Refrigerants and module 2 an Introduction to Safety and Risk Management with Alternative Refrigerants.     The 2018 TEAP Report, Volume 2: Decision XXIX/4 TEAP Task Force Report on Destruction Technologies for Controlled Substances reports on an assessment of destruction technologies, as instructed in decision XXIX/4 of the Montreal Protocol. Decision XXIX/4 requests an assessment of the applicability of approved destruction technologies to hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), and a review of any other technology for possible inclusion in the list of approved destruction technologies for all controlled substances.
