EFCTC POSITION PAPER ON THE EVALUATION OF THE EU ODS REGULATION (1005/2009)
The evaluation process of the ODS Regulation provides an opportunity to streamline the regulation to reflect the successes that have been achieved through the implementation of the current ODS Regulation 1005/2009. This would include the elimination of several time-limited provisions and repealed legal texts.  Read more here.

EFCTC PRESENTS A NEW VIDEO : “Refrigerant Gases Explained”"
The video explains the use as refrigerant gas of CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs, which have been widely used in refrigeration and now HFOs are joining HFCs as the fluorocarbon gases of choice for a wide range of applications.

The F-Gas Regulation and the Kigali Amendment
This new Brock & Ollie video explains the Kigali Amendment and how it relates to the F-Gas Regulation : The Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol requires countries to gradually reduce HFC use to reach a reduction of 80-85 per cent by the late 2040s. It is a good regulation that shows that industry is at the forefront of protecting the climate whilst providing important benefits to society like refrigeration, air-conditioning, foam and insulation.

LOGBOOK UPDATE

  • LOG-BOOK DOWNLOAD ON OUR SITE
    EFCTC presents its 2014 log book to download (*), which has been designed for operators of equipment containing F-Gases, in order to comply with Art. 6 of the 2014 F-Gas Regulation requirements on record keeping.
    The Excel file has been redesigned in 2014 and supplemented with user-friendly menus containing:
    – the list of equipment mentioned in the new Regulation (Art 4.2),
    – data for more than 60 refrigerants and blends,
    – a GWP calculator for blends.
    * The logbook is provided free of charge, but applicants must register prior to download.
    Up to now it has been downloaded 765 times.This logbook will be completely redesigned, adding new functionalities (App for mobiles phones and tablets) and updated with all the new blends. It will also been translated into 28 European languages.
