• EXPLANATORY NOTE FOR JUNE IN BRIEF on HFOs and atmospheric breakdown products: The TFA (trifluoroacetic acid or acetate) yields have been determined using models and laboratory experiments; for example no TFA formation could be established for HCFO-1233zd(E) in laboratory experiments. This approach has been used for many years to investigate the breakdown pathways and products of substances in the atmosphere.
