NEW HFO BASED PERFORMANCE SOLVENTS

New performance solvents based on HFO-1233zd(E) have been proposed for the European market. These technical solvents are used for cleaning electrical components or printed circuit boards, among others.

In order to comply with the F-Gas regulation, HFCs contained in aerosol solvents (spray formulations) cannot have a GWP higher than 150 by January 1st, 2018.

HFO-1233zd(E) has a GWP of 1, is nonflammable, of low toxicity and is not a VOC (volatile organic compound, having no impact on atmospheric ozone).

Presenting the required physicochemical properties and achieving good cleaning properties, it can be used as drop-in in existing equipment.
