NEW HCFO REFRIGERANT FOR LOW PRESSURE CHILLERS

HCFO-1224ydZ, (Z)CF3-CF=CHCl, has been added by ASHRAE as low GWP and non flammable refrigerant.

It has a boiling point of 14 C, a GWP < 1. See new EFCTC Fact Sheet in the Learn About section : “HCFO-1233zdE and HBFO-1233xfB, Stratospheric Ozone and Climate Change”.

It has been designed mainly for low pressure centrifugal chillers, ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) and waste heat recovery heat pumps.
