HFO-123ZE ENERGY EFFICIENT CHILLER FOR A GERMAN LEADING MACHINERY MANUFACTURER

A leading German machinery manufacturer has replaced outdated HCFC-22 refrigeration units by two HFO-1234ze chillers of 600 kW refrigeration capacity each.

The chillers cool the production units and provide cooling for the building air conditioning and the computer center. They have a very good energy efficiency, especially at partial load, and are very quiet, which was important due to their location in the building. They deliver a COP of 10, versus 4 for the old units.

Contributing to their energy efficiency is the recovery of heat from the condenser which is transferred to a low temperature heating circuit.
