HFC BASED HEAT PUMPS PROJECT FOR AN ITALIAN SUSTAINABLE BUILDING RECEIVES AN INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

A R-410A heat pump project has received an “International achievement award” for incorporating an air conditioning system for its offices and production units within a company’s internal heating network.

Three water/air reversible R-410A heat pumps, with a total cooling capacity of 631 kW, have been installed both for summer and winter air conditioning of the whole building, using the nearby river water as cold source.

The Loccioni Leaf Lab, in Ancona (Italy), where this project was implemented is a sustainable building with very low emissions, all its energy coming from renewable sources.
