HFC-134a TRANSPORTABLE AIR-CONDITIONER FOR HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS

A new transportable HFC-134a air-conditioner developed for use with temporary buildings or tents was exhibited at the recent Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Convention & Exhibition (DIHAD). It is designed for multiple deployments in different climatic conditions, an important feature for humanitarian organisations operating with projects across different countries, regions and climate zones.

The transportable unit is easy to set up and operate with a minimum of maintenance and service required and is designed for placement outside with supply air and return air ducted to the tent. The unit is strong, compact and operates on 1 phase 230V power supply, with temperature control carried out by a room thermostat hardwired to the air conditioner. Transportation is by either forklift or on mounted wheels, with setup and operation by a single person.
