HFC-134a USED FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY ROOF TOP TRAIN AIR-CONDITIONER

11 November 2018

The roof top train air conditioner, designed for heavy duty applications including passenger cabins, electrical cabinets on rail vehicles uses non-flammable HFC-134a and has a maximum operating temperature of 55°C. The very efficient air conditioner combines a very low power consumption with a high cooling output, which is much higher than a normal air conditioner and there is no power surge during start up (soft start). The air conditioner is available as 74V dc, 400V ac or hydraulic drive compressor, avoiding the need for separate power converters.

Fresh air can be preheated or precooled before entering the cab. The fresh air intake has a filter module and for dusty environments the air-conditioner can include an overpressure system.
