The evaluation process of the ODS Regulation provides an opportunity to streamline the regulation to reflect the successes that have been achieved through the implementation of the current ODS Regulation 1005/2009. The video explains the use as refrigerant gas of CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs, which have been widely used in refrigeration and now HFOs are joining HFCs as the fluorocarbon gases of choice for a wide range of applications.

“The F-Gas Regulation and the Kigali Amendment ”
This new Brock & Ollie video explains the Kigali Amendment and how it relates to the F-Gas Regulation : The Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol requires countries to gradually reduce HFC use to reach a reduction of 80-85 per cent by the late 2040s. It is a good regulation that shows that industry is at the forefront of protecting the climate whilst providing important benefits to society like refrigeration, air-conditioning, foam and insulation.
